Bio-Hazard Battle box artAn army of biogenetic mutants has gone haywire, terrorizing the world and putting the future of the planet in jeopardy. It's up to you to take on the mutant menace and restore order and harmony to the planet Avaron, before it's too late! Through eight levels of intense action, you'll be up against some of the nastiest, most vile creatures you've ever seen, things like mega amoebas, nuclear crabs, electroworms, and gut-grabbing insects.

You have four different Bioship fightercraft to choose from, each with unique handling capabilities and weapons systems. Your mission will take you through cavernous mineshafts, the ocean floor, and the Biowar Lab, each populated by heinous creatures that only man could have created. Hop into your fightercraft and save Avaron from certain doom.

quality game, more originality in gameplay than most shooters due to variation in tactics for using different weapons. great fun to play. last year (2007!) me and my housemates got obsessed with this game. great fun. just as much fun as thunderforce 4 in fact. and much superior to any other 16-bit shooter i have played. the only challenger is r-type 3 on the snes but it isn't really in the same league as bio hazard or tf4. 88% is a low score but imo most magazines seemed to seriously underrate this one, whilst vastly overrating cack like all the disney platform games! they were rubbish! all style and no substance.

fantastic graphics - i love graphics in games to be as arresting, trippy, and inventive as possible; this is the trippiest game i have ever played! with it's spawning leech things, and strange blue jelly...things, and all the unexpected movement of the enemies.

a totally underrated classic!
