Mean Machines never reviewed Shadow Dancer - as you can see from this news feature, they weren't exactly keen on the game. C+VG gave it a lukewarm review, too. Somewhat harsh when you play the game today - it's easily one of the finest action platformers on the Megadrive (in the opinion of the Mean Machines Archive, obviously), with colourful graphics, wonderful music and brilliant 'twitch' gameplay that is very much like that seen in the original Shinobi (thanks mainly to the 'one hit' kill). |
