MEGATON!

MEGATON!

MEGATON! How has it taken 25 years for the boffins who make Transformers to fuse Megatron with a Mega Drive? This is the stuff of 90s school-kids wet dreams!

The Mega Drive Megatron shown below is a limited edition figure created by Takara Tomy and can currently be seen at the Winter Wonder Festival in Japan. SEGA Japan did a cheeky tweet about it revealing the awesome combo to an unsuspecting world.

Unfortunately Megatron does not transform into a fully functioning Mega Drive, that would be too much to ask for. But we have read that he's got a USB stick on his arm at least.

What's next then? Optimus Prime Super Famicom?

Actual transforming consoles are so the future! Also needs fully independent high level AI, complete with badass attitude, but I don't mind waiting on that.
