Angus Swan - Staff Writer
'Gus' was a Mean Machines reviewer for one issue only, stepping on board for issue 24 - the final one before the split into Mean Machines Sega and Nintendo Magazine System.
Gus answered an advert placed in MM for a staff writer. He sent in a review and was called down to EMAP’s offices for an interview. However he was rejected in favour of Rob Bright. However two months later Rignall contacted Gus again and offered him the job – more staff were needed for the upcoming split into two magazines.
After the split Gus worked on Mean Machines Sega, eventually becoming editor of the magazine. He left EMAP around the time of the Saturn and worked freelance for a time, penning reviews for culture magazine Heat.
Swan now works for EMAP and manages a team of business analysts and project managers with EMAP’s IT department. His team designs and builds EMAP’s websites.
